My home was recently remolded.  Its a older home and has a ventfree fireplace in it.  It is my main source of heat. There is no central heat & air.  I have noticed that above the fireplace  on the mantel is a yellow type substance.  I have a mirror over the mantel that has some type of stickey film all over it when I use my fireplace.  I don’t know if it’s just me but it seem last year when I used my fireplace   I was sick more.   Beside more sinus problems  sometimes I would feel  sick to my stomach.  Could you please help . I really hate to use the fireplace another winter.  It really scares me.  Thanks’ Elizabeth M.

After doing research, we decided we would never put a vent-free (room vented) appliance into our home. Because of this decision, we didn’t believe it would be right to sell them to our customers. This decision was made even though vent-free products were/are a hot item. That was over 20 years ago, and we still believe it was the best for our company and our customers.
